The rubber band is removed. |
After opening the case back, I found there is water
inside.
Why ? Refer to our Poor
Man's Watch Ice Test.
According to the amount of water, I can confirm that
the watch leaked under iced water.
There is a water drop on the battery cover (white circle).
Actually, the whole watch is wet.
The battery is removed and the quartz movement is pulled
out.
The silver cyclinder is the Quartz Oscillator. So,
this is a quartz watch.
The circuit board is totally wet.
The display is totally
wet. |
The circuit board is separated
from the display board. |
2 larger areas in red transmit the power and signal
to the display board.
2 smaller areas are the power contacts of the back
light.
The parts in blue areas can be pulled out.
They are rubber like but are electricity conductive.
The lower left corner shows the enlarged view, there
are many separated channels.
After I dried the circuit board and display board with
a hair dryer and assembled the movement again, it works
again.
Although it is cheap, it is amazing.
